Context:
The Chilean folk art round table, held from the 6th to 11th of July 1959, was carried out by Tomás Lago (director 1943-1968) as part of the winter school made by Universidad de Chile and supported by UNESCO. The event gathered influential folk art intellectuals: Greta Mostny, Oreste Plath, and Guillermo Ulriksen. The latter performed as an Architecture department professor and was famous for his artistic and urban work.
