Context:
This work was exhibited in the Aportes folclóricos sobre el tejido a telar en Chile (Folk Contributions on loom sewing in Chile) book by Oreste Plath (director 1968-1973), published in 1970, examining the objects and specific production in different Chilean locations. It underlines ponchos from Tarapacá, choapinos from Coquimbo, carpets from Colina, blankets from the Colchagua coasts, chamantos from Doñihue, Mapuche trarilongko and makuñ, and small clothes from Chiloé.
