Context:
Gabriela Pizarro was a researcher, educator, and Chilean folklorist. Besides, she was the founder of Conjunto Millaray (1958-1973), which was crucial in recovering and promoting Chilean folk music and culture, primarily because of its detailed work on Chiloé music. In 1970, the band asked permission to take photos of some polychromatic ceramic figures, part of the museum collection, for the Navidad Campesina (Peasant Christmas) cover. After the band dissolved, Gabriela Pizarro was invited to different events and activities in Chile and abroad.
