Context:

This photo is part of the correspondence sent by Paulo de Carvalho Neto to Oreste Plath. It shows him with his family in Montevideo, where he remained briefly due to his transfer to Quito, Ecuador. The communication among national and international intellectual authorities strengthened by sending letters, some attached photos, and postcards, among other graphic recordings, as a sign of gratitude and friendship. This helped strengthen links and hold the relationship in time.
