Context:

The Platería Araucana (Araucanian silver-smithing) exhibition belongs to one of the international exhibitions of the museum. This collection, recently renamed Colección Mapuche (Mapuche Collection) was exhibited in the Bellas Artes National Museum of Argentina in 1966. The exhibition was opened on September 7th and remained open until September 22nd. It displayed over 390 pieces from that collection, formed by silver pieces such as the apero, stirrups, spurs, earrings, rings, and breastguard. It was also by textiles, wooden objects, leather, basket making, and musical instruments.
