Photograph in rectangular format and horizontal layout. Long shot of the showroom of the La Cultura del Huaso (Huaso’s Culture) exhibition. There are three wooden cabinets, one of which has wooden stirrups. Doñihue caps are hanging on the walls around. They are also part of the museum’s collection. Two visitors see these pieces to the exhibition.
Context:
One of the itinerant exhibitions carried out under Julio Tobar’s direction was La Cultura del Huaso (Huaso’s Culture) which started in November 1984 as part of the Talca’s International Fair (FITAL) in the Universidad de Talca offices. It lasted approximately one month. Among the loaned pieces, a portion of the Platería Mapuche (Mapuche silver-smithing) collection: spurs, stirrups and straps, and textiles such as caps, corsets, and chamantos.
