Context:
The Inter-American Folklore Exhibition in Sao Paulo, Brazil, lasted from August until October 1954. In it, 406 pieces from the American Folk Art Museum collection were exhibited, such as stirrups, spurs, saddles, blankets, Mapuche textiles, ceramics from different periods and areas of Chile, basket making, and glass, among others. All these were exhibited in a Chilean stand in charge of Tomás Lago (director 1943-1968).
