Context:
From its beginnings, the museum carried out outreach activities, many of which were trips and conferences with artisans linked with the audience. One activity consisted of workshops for kids of different ages on Sundays, intending to develop the artistic curiosity seen from an early age. Among the images, it is possible to identify one of the 5th Kids and Artists conference, on the American Folk Art Museum’s terrace, in Castillo Hidalgo. This event was pooled with the Expresión Plástica Infantil (Children’s Plastic Expression) exhibition, carried out by the Arts Department of the Universidad de Chile, and exhibited in the Contemporary Art Museum (MAC). These activities aimed to put into practice juegos artísticos (Artistic Games) with kids as something voluntary, not mandatory and giving them different materials and activities, such as clay, painting, pencils, colored chalks, and typical games manufacturing such as kites and tops. All of these with an educational outline.
